How Does It Work?

Comparing and booking self storage on SpaceFinder is really very simple indeed. Not only can you compare storage prices and facilities on-line, we'd like to think that we've made booking the right storage space for you as straightforward as possible.

Search for Storage

  1. Enter your postcode or town into the search bar.
  2. Select an approximate size of the space you need (the SpaceFinder storage calculator will help).
  3. If there are specific facilities you want you can use our advanced search to select the facilities you need or to refine your area search.
  4. Search results will be listed initially by distance from your chosen location. If you would like to change the priority for listing, simply click on the appropriate header - for example price or customer rating.

Choosing the Right Storage Room For You

  1. Click 'View Rooms' to see a full list of storage rooms and prices at the storage site you are interested in.
  2. Prices will vary according to room size - but also other factors such as being on an upper floor or not having direct vehicle access. You could save money if these aren't important to you.
  3. Click 'Details' to take a look at your chosen storage centre and review the selection you have made.
  4. If you're happy - click 'Reserve'

Reserve Your Space

  1. Complete the on-line reservation form and select your move-in date. If you need to change this date before you move in simply call our help line on 0800 083 4263 or email us at bookings@spacefinder.co.uk and we will sort it out.
  2. Read and accept the terms and conditions of your chosen operator and SpaceFinder.
  3. Payments will be taken direct by the self storage operator either by credit card or direct debit. This will be set up when you visit the storage operator for the first time.
  4. You will receive a confirmation Email with all your booking details. You should take this with you when you go to the storage site for the first time.

Manage Your Account

  1. You will receive an Email with your username and password details. You will need this to log into the 'My Account' area of the site.
  2. If you ever need to view your booking you can do this by logging into 'My Account' where you will find details on how to change or cancel your storage booking.

Rate Your Chosen Storage Site

  1. Help us to give honest, impartial advice on the storage you book through SpaceFinder.
  2. Simply click through on the link in your confirmation email or click on 'My Account' and enter your user name and password.
  3. You can then rate the site you are using in terms of staff friendliness, quality of room, security and ease of use.
