If you are a domestic customer you will need to take separate insurance to cover your possessions whilst they are in storage. For some operators you must take their own insurance this is specified against each operator when you search with SpaceFinder. Business customers may be covered on their business insurance
Yes, if you want a larger or smaller room at your chosen storage centre it can be arranged through SpaceFinder. We will adjust your payments accordingly. And, if you want to move to another storage site we can sort that out too! You will need to abide by your storage centres terms and conditions but most will allow you to change without any penalty - and, if you have a problem - you can always speak to us and we'll do our best to get it sorted.
Most storage sites are staffed from 8am until 8pm although they do vary so we have specified the opening times for each site. Outside of these hours many sites will offer 24hr access using a special access code that you will be given when you visit them for the first time.
It will depend on the storage site but most operators will allow you to store for just 1 or 2 weeks. You will find that we have included any minimum rental terms against each site. You will need to pay for 1 month in advance however - if you store for less than this you will receive a refund. Contracts are automatically renewed on a monthly basis.

All the storage facilities we offer through SpaceFinder are clean and dry. Some will have heating to ensure the temperature doesn't drop too low but the are not temperature or humidity controlled. If you need to store items that are sensitive to very low or high temperatures or excessive humidity then take a look at our specialist storage services. These are suitable for wine, antiques and even classic cars and bikes.
